    Youth Program Volunteers

This volunteer program is perfect for individuals looking for a short term opportunity or those who enjoy working with Youth.  Open Gym/Homework Help meets weekly Monday & Wednesday from 6-7:30. For 30 minutes before open gym kids, shelter and community, are asked to bring homework they are working on and if they do not have homework volunteers tutor them in subjects that they struggle in, such as math and spelling. Open Gym follows and is also a program for community and shelter children who may come from difficult backgrounds. During this time volunteers spend time with the children doing crafts, sports, games and more. Activities are loosely constructed, allowing the children and volunteers to choose what they would like to do.
